Cape Cod is such a fun destination for your summer vacation! Capture your family reunion or celebrate an anniversary with a beautiful Cape Cod family portrait on the beach at sunset. Remember this special time year-round and schedule a photography session of your family while you’re on your vacation.
Your Cape Cod beach photo session will be FUN!
It’s about making MEMORIES – for you, for your children, for their children.
It is about FAMILY!
EVERYONE will LOVE it!
Your Family is Unique – Your Cape Cod Family Portrait will also Be Unique!
You may be a family of 3, or a family of 23. I have lots of experience photographing all sizes and shapes of families. During the session, I make sure to get the ‘big group photo’. I usually take one at the beginning of the session at one location on the beach (while little ones are still fresh), then another at the end of the session at a different location on the beach when the light is most beautiful. This is when we’d try to catch the sunset. In between, I’ll photograph all the different groups that make up your family – siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, cousins, just the girls, just the guys, individual family groupings, couples, and also some ‘candids’ of children playing, and families walking along the beach. I like to call myself “Your Personal Paparazzi” – if you have an idea, I’ll photograph it! The amount of family pictures you will see depends on the size of your family and how many groupings and candids we do. No matter what size your family is, there is no additional charge for larger groups and extended families.
The Best Place to Photograph your Cape Cod Family Pictures
We can take your family pictures at the beach close to your summer rental, or a special location that you may have in mind. If you’re not familiar with the area or don’t have a location in mind, I can recommend a few favorite beaches that I like to photograph at. We would take into consideration location from where you’re staying, beach accessibility from the parking lot, ages and abilities of those being photographed, and sometimes even weather can be a factor (especially the wind direction). The time of day, though is always near Sunset – the best light, no squinting, and less crowds at the beach. Sometimes we’ll get a fantastic colorful sunset, and sometimes we’ll have a lovely overcast evening. There’s also weather to consider, too! If it’s a rainy day, I’ll keep a close eye on the weather because if it’s supposed to clear up later in the day, we could be in for a spectacular sunset! I’ll always be in close contact if there’s any question about the weather. Whatever the conditions, I’ll make sure your family portrait session will go smoothly, and your family portrait will be absolutely beautiful. So how to make that happen? I have over 20 years experience photographing families on Cape Cod during their summer vacation, so I will guide you every step of the way to create a beautiful family portrait – and memories – to remember your Cape Cod vacation.
How do I reserve my Cape Cod Family Portrait session?
Give me a call at 508-335-2369 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s chat about your vacation plans, your ideal place to have your family portrait made, and we’ll talk about what to wear. Session Fees and Special Packages are payable in advance by credit card in order to reserve your time for your Cape Cod Family Portrait; in the case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. If this is not possible, your session fee and/or down payments will be refunded.
When is the best time to reserve my Beach Photo Session on Cape Cod?
Now! It’s never too early – I only schedule one family portrait on the beach per day, and I do leave dates open every week to leave room for reschedules in case of inclement weather, so dates fill up quickly and far in advance. I recommend calling as soon as you know when you’ll be on Cape Cod, and booking your session towards the beginning of your summer vacation so we have room to reschedule your family pictures if necessary.
What should we wear for our Family Pictures on the Beach?
Good choices in clothing is one of the key elements of a great beach photo session! Keep it classic for a timeless look – choose a color palette and let everyone have their own take on it. Jeans or khaki-colored pants, shorts, capris and skirts with white or off-white, black, shades of blues, greens and browns and pastels are a good choice. NO: short skirts, large logos, patterns, and busy prints.
What about the Weather on Cape Cod?
We all know the weather in New England and Cape Cod is unpredictable, and beach conditions can be drastically different than the weather at your house or cottage. I will be in touch with you the day before and the day of your session to discuss weather concerns. Usually only excessive wind or rainy days can be cause for rescheduling or cancellation. Cloudy days are awesome! We’ll make the call together about 2 hours before your session. For your ‘peace of mind’, a rain date can be scheduled for an additional $250, which will be credited to your order over $1000.
Can we take pictures during our session?
I respectfully request family members do not use cameras (even cell phone cameras) during the session. I will need everyone’s full attention during the session and other cameras could be distracting, especially to the younger children and to pets. Please make sure that everyone involved in your portrait is informed of this policy.
I absolutely guarantee you will be thrilled with your family portraits or I will rephotograph your family, or give you a full refund.
